Statement of Faith

Statement of Faith

We believe in God the Father, Creator of all things.

We believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, true God, begotten of the Father, born of the Virgin Mary. Under Pontius Pilate, He suffered for our sins, died on the cross, atoning for all human sin, and this atonement is the only grounds for salvation. He was buried and rose from the dead. He is above now, interceding for us, awaiting to return for Hs bride, the church, of which He alone is Head.

We believe that when He returns, He will judge both the living and the dead.

We believe in the Holy Spirit who gives gifts to empower believers to be witnesses throughout the world. The Holy Spirit convicts the world of sin, of righteousness and of judgment. He also re-births those who repent and believe, sanctifies believers and expresses the truth of Jesus.

We believe the Holy Bible is divinely inspired, inerrant, and the revelation of God's will. It is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, and for instruction in righteousness.

We believe original sin has totally corrupted all mankind and has broken men's holy relationship with God. Only through repentance and faith in the Lord Jesus can the consequences of the original sin and all subsequent personal sin be forgiven.

We believe all believers are to be baptized in obedience to Jesus' command and to identify with Christ's death, burial and resurrection.

We believe that the Lord's Supper is a participation in the body and blood of Jesus and is to be administered to all believers to remember the Lord's death until He returns.

We believe in the unity of the body of Christ, His Church and encourage one another to strive to attain the unity of faith, the bond of peace and the knowledge of the Son of God; to become mature, attaining the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.
